Giftlinjen fik 10.000 henvendelser i 2007, hvor linjen åbnede. 10 år senere får man nu 25.000 henvendelser om året, men de har samme bemanding og samme budget som for 10 år siden, så de frygter, at folk med alvorlig forgiftning ikke hurtigt nok får den fornødne rådgivning og hjælp. Kim Dalhoff fra Giftlinjen siger: "Vi håber, at hvis nogen er i livsfare, og man ikke kan komme igennem til vores numre 82 12 12 12 eller 38 63 55 55, så i stedet ringer til 1-1-2.
